*THIS TIME, DON’T RUSH

Trusting Resistance and Listening to the Soul’s Timing

I’ve learned something that keeps reshaping how I move through life: Resistance isn’t the enemy. It’s not here to stop us. It’s a guide, a signal that is subtle, often uncomfortable, but never without meaning. It's there to teach us, not to hinder us.

What appears to be a block is usually a message. Resistance doesn’t ask us to give up; it asks us to slow down and pay attention. It shows us where we’re pushing too hard or moving too fast.

When we stop fighting it, we start to understand what it means to be alive, not just in motion, but aware. Present. Life doesn’t always ask for more effort. Sometimes it just asks us to wait.

We as humans are hedonistic. We want more, we expect more, and we constantly create more. But when we finally slow down, we start to appreciate what we’ve already received. That recognition of what we’ve gained is the heart of gratitude.

We don’t often realize that the soul, over many lifetimes, has carried urgency. This urgency is what we usually interpret as the need to rush in our current lives. For many of us, our lives were cut short in previous incarnations. Journeys unfinished. So, in this lifetime, the soul rushes.

It feels like pressure to complete everything now. But here, in this human form, we’re being asked to remember that receiving a lesson is a blessing. This is what I mean by the 'soul's timing ', the understanding that our soul has its own pace, and we need to align with it.

Resistance isn’t here to block you. It’s here to guide you, like a trusted friend on your journey. It asks you to pause. It invites you to stop pushing. Because the more you fight it, the more it fights back.

Yes, some parts of this path will feel like work. You will need strength. You will require discipline. You’ll build roots. You’ll build a foundation. But the deeper lesson beneath it all is this: resistance teaches presence. It reminds us to slow down, to breathe, and return to the present moment, where calm and centeredness reside. Patience is the key to this quiet awareness.

The past cannot be changed. The future will not unfold the way we expect. We only think we know what’s coming, but life rarely follows our script. That’s why the only true practice is learning how just to be here, now.

If something you’re doing keeps creating resistance, pay attention. If you find yourself forcing something and it keeps pushing back, stop and listen. That tension is a message. I’m not saying abandon the task. If the cycle needs to be completed, then finish it.

If there’s a discipline that’s part of your learning, honor it. But if you keep hitting the same wall over and over in a short amount of time, that’s not failure. It's a sign that you have the power to change direction and take control of your journey.

Slow down. Rewrite. Rebrand. Rebirth your story. This means that if you find yourself in a situation where you're constantly facing resistance, it might be a sign that you need to change your approach. That’s all you need to do.
